What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is an invisible aligner system designed to straighten teeth without the discomfort and disruption that can be caused by traditional metal braces.
Invisalign® are pioneers of the invisible aligner market and have been straightening and changing smiles since the 1990s when they launched. Using their patented material SmartTrack, and their unique ClinCheck3D treatment plan, you’ll soon be on your way to a straighter smile in less than eighteen months.
What is the treatment for Invisalign® like?
First, you’ll come into the practice for an initial consultation, during which we’ll go through your options with you. If you decide Invisalign® is the route you want to take to a straighter smile, then we’ll take an impression and your completely bespoke invisible aligners will be made for you by the experts at Invisalign®.
Once your aligners are ready, you’ll wear each set for two weeks or so, before moving onto the next set of aligners in your treatment plan. Most patients wear the invisible aligners for six to eighteen months.
Do I have to wear my Invisalign® aligners all the time?
Invisalign® are designed to be removed for eating and brushing your teeth but for fast, effective results, you are advised to wear them throughout the day and night.
Is Invisalign® painful?
Invisalign® should not be painful. Some patients do report some discomfort, however, especially when first wearing a new set of aligners.
